As an Indian, Tiger has always fascinated us and has been an integral part of our life, in our culture as well as religion. We cannot think of our forests without them and forests too cannot be well protected without their existence. They being umbrella species have their vital role to play in the ecosystem and they provide conservation to other faunal species. Due to fear people do not enter jungle and hence cutting of trees, hunting of animals and grazing by domestic animals is also prevented. The rising tiger deaths in MP, especially Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, which is one of the finest ecosystems for tigers and also has been one of the top tiger reserves of India for its wildlife management as well as tourism, resulted in conservationists and environmental journalists raising questions. This edition covers most of those answers along with possible solutions or mitigations.
